Look at crash bandicoot or sonic as examples of how much better they look on Sony’s and Xbox’s last gen consoles. But the Xbox one and the ps3 could run all these games better than the switch can. I’m not even talking about the series s/x or ps5. When I said the other consoles could easily make these Nintendo type games in 1080p I should have been clear about which consoles.

I am all about gameplay and 3D world +bowsers fury will be perfect for this and visually great to me. Graphics are very important but 720p to 1080p isnt as big or bad a gap as people think (unless you have a huuuge TV screen). There was an article about game developers not utlising the full power of new consoles as it would limit backwards compatibility and cross play- thus impacting sales. Additonally, not all gamers have TVs that are 1080p or 4k, plus if in handheld it makes barely a difference whilst playing. easily on every other console? The switch isnt a home console so perhaps lower those expectations of 1080p as standard. Personally I dont like imax or certain HD, they hurt my eyes lol The visual difference on such a huge screen are noticable, but at home on TV it might not have as much of an impact. Completely different creating a game to a movie.
